David McCullough graduated Yale University with a Bachelors in English and honors in English literature. After college McCullough worked at Sports Illustrated, then the United States Information Agency, and then worked for American Heritage. David McCullough has received the Pulizer Prize, a prestigious award for works of American journalism, literature, and music, for two of his past works, Truman and John Adams.
